Designed for homes and working farms grounded in agroecological principles, the village of Lega Vera envisions a vibrant, health-centered lifestyle immersed in nature and supported by value-aligned neighbors. A truly connected community with access to urban essentials.
With thoughtfully integrated amenities that enrich daily life, we envision Lega Vera to include a small commercial village center with a co-op and café, kilometers of trails for walking, biking, and horseback riding, equestrian stables, a playground, a nursery, a boutique hotel, and 24/7 security.
Meet the hosts
For Thomas Patton and Adriana Roquer, the idea of becoming farmers was never part of the plan.
As children raised in Panama City, weekends were spent at their families’ country properties—places which served more as retreats than true working farms.
While it was never something they imagined would define their future, it all changed when they became parents.
Motivated to raise their two young boys with a healthy lifestyle and nutrient-rich food, Thomas and Adriana began to look deeper into the food system.
What they found was disheartening: an over-reliance on toxic chemicals and a lack of truly organic, soil-conscious farming practices. The clean, nourishing, and flavorful food they sought just could not be found.
That’s where Thomas and Adriana saw an opportunity. They committed themselves to restoring the property, embracing regenerative practices like holistic grazing, permaculture, and agroforestry.
Years later, the once-forgotten land became the award-winning Coquira Soil Project—a vibrant regenerative farm offering chef-driven culinary experiences and a boutique B&B, now at the forefront of Panama’s organic movement.
Future Vision
Thomas and Adriana set out to create something more: a thriving village built on the values they hold dear. Over 300 hectares of former cattle pastures now give rise to Lega Vera Farm Village.
They’re inviting others who share this vision to join them in reshaping the legacy of the land, and in turn, the culture that will grow from it.
